Channel vocabulary: Merchant channel terminology (marketplace app vs storefront vs driver job board).
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Organization | A merchant tenant on the platform; owned by an Admin subscriber. |
| Sub-organization | A location, brand, or operational unit under an organization (e.g. branch, kitchen, hotel wing). |
| Admin | Organization owner / subscriber with full control of their tenant (catalog, staff, financials, settings). |
| Staff | Team member working under an admin; permissions are configurable per user or role template. |
| Manager | Staff permission tier with broader POS, inventory, and limited financial access (see permissions matrix). |
| Customer | End user who purchases from an organization (storefront or customer dashboard). |
| Superadmin | Platform operator (Bumi); manages plans, regions, fees, and cross-tenant operations. |
| Storefront | Public-facing direct ordering web app for guests at /store/{slug} (browser + optional install to home screen). |
| Direct ordering web app | Same as storefront — merchant-owned ordering surface; fees and claims come from the offer sheet in field sales. |
| Bumi consumer marketplace | BumiSoft technology connecting guests and merchants on your stack; legal basis for consumer Marketplace Terms. Not DoorDash/Uber. |
| Third-party delivery marketplace app | External aggregator the merchant already uses (DoorDash, Uber Eats, GrabFood, etc.) — competitor / pain side in field training. |
| Delivery job marketplace | Internal driver job broadcast for delivery_ondemand tenants (/driver) — not a third-party app. |
| Dashboard | Signed-in experience at /admin, /staff, /customer, or /superadmin. |
| POS | Point of sale interface at /store/{slug}/.../pos for in-venue order taking. |
| Subscription plan | Platform billing tier that gates features and limits for an organization. |
| Payout | Transfer of collected funds to the merchant's connected payout account. |
| Business day | Configured operational day boundary for reporting and cash reconciliation (org setting). |
| Commission billing | Bumi subscription payment mode: plan fees tied to order volume and performance rebates — not third-party marketplace app commission %. |
